PRIME STEAKHOUSE

This project consisted of a 5,130 square foot slab on grade, wood frame fine dining restaurant and bar with and outdoor patio area. The kitchen is a full commercial kitchen where the chef and the staff specialize in providing hand crafted culinary experiences to their patrons. One if the most interesting features is the viewable walk-in dry aging room that provides guests with perfectly dry-aged, hand-cut steaks. This is the only viewable one of this type in any restaurant in Minnesota. The building was designed to provide an upscale dining experience to the more rural setting of Morris which is located in West Central Minnesota. The dining layout provides ample seating for small or medium-sized groups and there is also a semi-private area that can be used for hosting private events. The interior finishes evoke a modern approach to the typical steakhouse with a combination of darker tile and medium toned wood that provides an upscale yet welcoming warmth. The exterior is a combination of warm gray siding and stucco that is highlighted with wood columns at the main entry and a wood trellis over the patio. The base of the entry and patio are emphasized with a stone veneer that brings a dimension of enduring quality to the base of the building.

Studio E Architects coordinated with Design Wise Interiors on the interior design and furniture layout and with Boelter Premier for the installation and planning of the commercial kitchen space. Innovative Builders was the General Contractor for the project.  Our engineering consultants included: Martin Mechanical (plumbing and HVAC), Vareberg Engineering (Electrical), Design Tree Engineering (Structural) and Schultz Engineering and Site Design (Civil)
