MAHNOMEN COUNTY AIRPORT
This project consisted of a 1,145 sf wood framed arrival/departure building on an existing municipal airport site. The building was divided into a central spine that began with the west entry from the road and exited to east toward the airfield. The rest of the facility was divided into two common areas for pilots to lounge and/or utilize a common meeting area. There was also a travel planning area, vending area, two accessible toilet rooms and a mechanical room. The exterior was clad in a dark brick red masonry at the base with a tan stucco above and a dark bronze metal roof. Exterior material selections were intentionally selected for durability and lasting resilience.
