GLENWOOD LUTHERAN CHURCH
Studio E Architects worked diligently with the Building Committee to determine what needed to be done to enhance the existing facility and to make the south entry more attractive and more accessible overall. Since most of the parking is on the south side of the site, which is not the main entry to the Church, the foremost challenge was to provide a clear path from the south entry, to the Narthex area, and then up and into the Sanctuary.
We also proposed to brighten the Fellowship Hall by opening windows that had been covered over for many years which would bring daylight into the space.
Knowing the Building Committee needed to complete fundraising, we worked to provide flexibility in the design as well to create different options that the committee could choose from once the dollar amount had been determined.
The addition and remodel project was completed in the winter of 2017.
“We have worked with Studio E Architects on a wide variety of different projects over the past several years. Their team pays special attention to Owner needs and specific project details from conceptual design to final construction documents, as well as during construction. They are an absolute pleasure to work with!”
